It’s sparring time!

It’s sparring time!

Until recently, I had never heard of Guardians of the Galaxy, which is a surprise since I consider myself a Marvel comic fan. With the movie hitting theaters, it helped me gain awareness of this particular series and even got me excited for it.

Now, to top it off, Zen Studios has brought this very series over as its Zen Pinball 2 DLC for the PlayStation 3, Vita and Xbox 360. It appears that the amount of exposure for Guardians of the Galaxy is going to be out of this world.

In this particular pinball DLC, you get all five members of the crew (Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, Groot and Drax the Destroyer) duking it out onto this table against Ronan the Accuser. Right off the bat, madness commences with four balls simultaneously being released onto the table, thus simulating the excitement of the crew’s escape from the Kyln. As always, expect quite a bit of action from key battles from Guardians of the Galaxy, including those against the Nebula and Yondu.

If you are not sure who these characters are, you will soon with this DLC as it will draw you in! The design of the pinball table is executed very well with nice full animations to keep things lively.

Furthermore, the arrangements the bumpers and ramps never fail to offer a continuous amount of challenge and excitement. While it is a shame that you can’t exactly zoom in, unlike other DLCs, it’s still got a lot of kick to it with all the colors and audio effects to keep you on the edge of your seats.

Zen Studios always delivers in terms of top-notch pinball tables. And with Guardians of the Galaxy, you’ll not only have a fun time with this DLC priced at $3, but you’ll also get a greater appreciation of the series. What an effective way to help get people even more pumped for the movie. I can’t wait!
