Throwback Thursday: Win Enslaved Premium Edition on PS3!

EnslavedAfter being sidelined last week by getting sick, Throwback Thursday is back, and this time we’re digging deep in the vault for one of the most overlooked titles of the last generation in Bandai-Namco’s Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. This is the Premium Edition, too, which means it includes the excellent DLC, Pigsy’s Perfect 10. If you missed this one when it came out, trust me, you wanna play it.

To enter simply let us know what one of your favorite “overlooked” games is in the comments section below. If you’re on Twitter please include your @handle as well. If not, just make sure the email address you use when entering is valid.

Winners will be selected on Wednesday, April 23rd. All entries must be submitted by 8 PM EDT/5 PM PDT on Wednesday. Please note that although anyone can enter you must either be following me on Twitter or submit a working email address to win.

Good luck!

  1. Robert says:

Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter. @werezompire

  2. Joe says:

Catherine is the best overlooked game for me, a tough little puzzler with a brilliantly wierd story

  3. My favorite overlooked game? Time and Eternity, no contest.

  4. Androu1 says:

Deadly Premonition. Sure it’s flawed but the story and character more than make up for that.

  5. One of my favorite overlooked games is the original Bionic Commando. Although it has a very good cult following today, that wasn’t the case when it came out. I remember playing it over and over again and getting very good at the game. The remake that is available on PSN is a great, but the original is a true overlooked classic.

    My twitter handle is @warrencbennett

  6. Nier without a doubt. @moggsster

  7. Sindroam says:

    Folklore, easily.

  8. itchy says:

  11. For me was Final Fantasy XIII

  12. I think Valkyria Chronicles was overlooked by a lot of people.

  13. Chris says:

Kirby’s Air Ride. Specifically for City Trial mode multiplayer.

  14. Josh C. says:

Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, the best RPG in the last 10 years.

  15. Ruven says:

Earth Defense Force Insect Armageddon. @zero110100

  16. José Requena says:

Sky of Arcadia. A good game. @Joeeblackk

  17. zerop1 says:

Valkyria Chronicles. It got great reviews and was even developed by Sega but sales were pretty pathetic.

  18. Leon says:

Darksiders is an excellent overlooked game. I really should play Darksiders 2

  19. malouff says:

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch

  20. darkdusk says:

    Time and Eternity

  21. aklambda says:

Valkyria Chronicles on PS3 is my favorite.

  22. Horse says:

Folklore , the .hack Franchise, the Yakuza Franchise, and the Agaest war Franchise.

  23. gmanvg says:

  24. Resident Evil 6. It doesn’t suck as bad as people make it out to be.

  25. fifteencharword says:

The first title I thought of for this question was Bosconian, a very enjoyable Namco arcade game whose star doesn’t shine as brightly as contemporaries like Pac-Man, Galaga, Xevious, Dig Dug, etc. But in the home gaming realm, I’ll go with the 2000 PC game Pac-Man: Adventures in Time, one of my all-time favorite games. I’ll bet few, if any, of the other commenters have even heard of it.

  26. Chris says:

Baten Kaitos for the gamecube 🙂

  29. Well, I don’t know if it’s an “overlooked” game, but I really like Gabrielle’s Ghostly Groove 3D on the 3DS. It’s a really fun rhythm game! Twitter: @LotsaNintendo

  30. Seph says:

Nier. Fantastic Soundtrack. Man Tear inducing Story, and unforgettable characters. @Sephamus

  31. Gravity Rush for the Vita. So many people shrugged their shoulders… Well I say I’ll cut off your shoulders, son! Story was great, combat was great, control was great, hell the AI was great! Side quest’s to keep you busy and the scenery is great enough to just wander about!

Anyone who disagrees will be slapped…

  32. Alpha Protocol

  33. Invisifool says:

Legend of Dragoon, a PS1 game, was pretty overlooked due to competing with FF8. I still like its combat, though. @invisifool

  34. Corey Ruehling says:

    Red Faction: Armageddon

  35. solutha says:

    Probably Catherine or maybe Vanquish.

  36. solutha says:

    Probably Catherine or Vanquish.

  37. Resonance of Fate @shigeru_mid

  38. darklurkr23 says:

    The Darkness omg it’s epic.

  39. Dave says:

Prince of Persia 2008, it deserves a sequel.

  40. Robbo says:

    Mr Mosquito

  41. Jason says:

Star Ocean: Last Hope. I loved that game. @Jason_Negron

  42. Brian says:

@DivineRamza Outcast for pc for sure. Glad they are crowd funding an HD remake!

  43. Ahmed Slaibi says:

Project Eden on PS2 and PC, that game had a lot of innovations and some of the best puzzles I’ve seen in a game and it’s concept was really an achievement for its time, sadly no one seems to be mentioning it for some reason

  44. Anthony says:

I think mine has got to be Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee. I was thinking of choosing Marvel Nemesis Rise of the Imperfects or Custom Robo on the GCN but they both had too many flaws. Godzilla was such a fun game to play with my family or random friends when they came over.

  45. redrumbllefish says:

The Saboteur was an awesome game IMO, but not too many people played it.

  46. Tanjil says:

    hmmm overlooked…
    Rouge Galaxy PS2

  47. Richard Carter says:

Lots of many overlooked games, but I’m going to have to go with Lost Odyssey.
    Thanks for the contest.

  48. Probably King’s Field or Shadow Tower. From Software fans know what I’m talking about.

  49. Evolution: The World of Sacred Device on the Dreamcast (and the sequel). A pair of wonderful RPGs.
They were rereleased on the Gamecube as “Evolution Worlds” but the port sucked.

  50. Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter. @chokochokorito

  51. rockinjs864 says:

Battle Clash on the SNES( Old school sleeper title)

  52. Sam says:

Ghost Trick, Radiant Historia and Neir are all amazing games that deserve more attention, especially Neir.

  53. Rich S says:

Trapt (Tecmo deception sequel) for PS2

  54. Richard Schmoll says:

Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter although I wished they started you in different locations or different dialogue based on your D-ratio.

  55. Luke says:

Probably Perimeter. Vastly underrated and overlooked game. Had a great soundtrack, different ideas in both presentation and gameplay which I was really sold on. Great game!

  56. Killing Floor, love the online mods

  57. David says:

Eternal Sonata. It’s rare to find a developer who clearly loved the source material and what they were working on, and it shows in the final product.
